Ira Klein, Spring 2026 artist in residence, will pair Renaissance-era musical motifs through a modern lens, composing new works that reflect historical echoes in contemporary sound. A Brooklyn-based guitarist, composer, and educator, he is celebrated for his expressive compositions that bridge Middle Eastern music, American folk traditions, and contemporary improvisation.
